In my twenties, I became more aware of what I was putting in my body so I started studying basic nutrition, changed my eating habits and became a personal trainer. It wasn’t until my son was diagnosed with autism over 12 years ago that I became more educated on nutrition and how it effects the body and brain. I was on a journey to heal my child by means of integrative nutrition and a biomedical approach to medicine.
Over the years, I have worked with Osteopathic doctors, Naturopathic doctors, scientists and educators in the field of healing children with autism through diet and alternative treatments and I can proudly say that I took a nonfunctioning child with autism to a child who is fully functioning today. This experience motivated me to return to school and educate myself so I could assist others on their journey as I did for myself and my son. I am grateful for all the many blessings in my life and the knowledge that I have gained to assist others on their journey to better health and wellness.
